Mount Pleasant is a small vineyard established in 1996 on a 0.5 acre (about 500 vines) SSE facing site. This is currently the the most northerly in Britain. The soil is alkaline, with loam over gravel. The future is uncertain as Mike Graham, pioneer viticultutalist, retired in 2012 and sold the house and vineyard. News welcomed
