South Beara dates from 1992 and currently has 1.5 acres of vines (with more planned). The vines occupy a south-facing slope at 450 feet above sea level and are trained on the Double Guyot system.
The wine shop at the farm sells wine, local cider and Somerset cider brandy . The farm also caters for Bed and Breakfast and has several holiday cottages with an outdoor swimming pool.Not the easiest vineyard to find as there are THREE Beara Farms within a 10 mile radius. From South Molton, take the B3137 to ALSWEAR. Turn right, then left and follow the winding country road uphill. After about 4 miles,go across the road to King's Nympton and Beara is the 3rd farm along on your left.
